This is the shorter video version of my first flight as a Private Pilot, on November 9, 2014. On this version of the video you will see the takeoffs, approaches, and landings. The full version without cuts is available here.
Luke (my “co-pilot”) and I planned a cross-country flight from Greenville, NC (KPGV) to Williamsburg, VA (KJGG). I flew the leg from Greenville to Williamsburg and Luke flew the return flight.
Luke and I recently passed our Private Pilot check ride so we thought it would be great to team-up and do some cross-country flights together.
The idea for this flight was to do touch-and-goes on a few airports between Greenville and Williamsburg. On the way back, Luke chose a few airports to do the same – this allowed both of us to practice approaches, landings, and takeoffs in different airports. It was lots of fun!
On this flight I departed KPGV (Pitt-Greenville, Greenville, NC), flew over KMCZ (Martin Country, Williamston, NC), did a touch-and-go at KASJ (Tri-Country, Ahoskie, NC), followed by another touch-and-go at KFKN (Franklin-Rose, Franklin, VA), and a full stop at KJGG (Williamsburg-Jamestown, Williamsburg, VA).
When we arrived in Williamsburg, we secured the airplane and walked to Charly’s Airport Restaurant to eat breakfast. If you would like to know more about the restaurant, you can visit their Facebook Page or Website.
This was a great first flight! I can’t wait to fly again and visit different airport and places.
Thank you for visiting!
